About Our Company
Founded in 1979, Osgood Welding started as a small mom and pop part-time business, doing welding repairs and fabrications from a portable welding trailer. The jobs were carried out at Ralph and Janice's home in Ascutney Vermont as well as on-site.
In 1977 it became a full-time family business venture, as Ralph and Janice's two sons joined in the business. A flame-cutting machine for cutting specialty steel was purchased, and over the next couple of years, more employees were hired to handle the increasing volume of work. In 1979, the business was incorporated.
Our Growing Business and New Services We Offer
In 1988, we realized that we had outgrown our space and expanded in terms of work. We set up our new building across the river in Claremont, New Hampshire. Over the years, we added truck body sales and service as part of our services. We have maintained a well-stocked parts room. We hired more employees and started doing more outside jobs like fabrications, steel buildings, and excavation work. Right now, we have 20-25 full-time employees.
In 2000 Ralph and Janice decided to retire and sold the welding shop and inventory to their son Kevin.
Kevin and his wife Debbie now run and operate Osgood Welding.
